Experience Manager

Description:

  • Oversees volunteers and overall experience at The Rink.

Responsibilities: 

  • Volunteer Management

    • Help oversee ice rink volunteers and ensure they are adequately trained.

    • Recruit, train and oversee all volunteers. 

    • Assign shifts to ensure coverage during all hours of operation.

    • Ensure that volunteers are following all safety procedures.

  • Guest Experience

    • Oversee the skate rental operation including inventory ordering and management and staffing.

    • General customer service for rink patrons and community. 

    • Respond quickly to any emergency situations and maintain accident reports as necessary

    • Oversee special events, and rink rentals.

    • Manage the vending stock and sales.

    • Ensure that the rink is prepared for all groups coming to use the facility.

    • Maintain positive relationships with rink user groups.

    • Ensure rentals remain on schedule.

  • Other

    • Enforce all ice rink rules and regulations. 

    • Respond to patron correspondence regarding ice rink and facility. 

    • Deliver cash receipts on a weekly basis to the Executive Director of Action Brown County.  

    • Monitors activities of patrons in order to prevent injuries, ensure customer satisfaction and; reports all accidents or injuries as required.  

    • Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends.  

    • Prepares and maintains records, reports, and other documentation  

    • Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service.

  • Experience with point of sale system preferred but not required.

  • Eighteen years of age or older. 

  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings. 

  • Must be available to work throughout winter until the ice rink closes.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve.

  • Ability to work independently and be flexible in meeting the needs of the facility 

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to establish and manage multiple priorities 

  • Working conditions include exposure to cold and noise 

Date Expectations: 

  • Monthly committee meetings starting immediately

  • Monday, November 25th - Wednesday, November 27th (tentative): Ice-skating assembly

  • Friday, November 29th – Sunday, January 12th: 2024 – 25 Season

  • Week of Monday, January 13th: Ice-skating disassemble
