Baking Competition Information

  • Entry fee: $1 per item entered (no pre-registration required)

  • Baked goods to be entered in the contest must be dropped off on Saturday, September 25th between 9 am and 10 am to the American Legion.

  • Judging will begin at noon.

  • Contest categories: cookie - cake - brownie - pie - other (unique dessert)

  • Desserts will be judged on appearance, taste and creativity.

  • Winners will be announced at awards ceremony at 3 pm.

  • All baked goods entered may be taken home by the respective bankers or donated to the cake walk.

  • We need ALL kinds and combinations of allergen-free cakes: peanut-free, tree nut-free, egg-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free. Please communicate upon drop-off if your dessert is allergen-free.

Cake Walk Information

  • Will begin tentatively at 3:30 pm, following the awards.

  • Tickets: 3 for $1

  • Donated cake walk items can be brought to the American Legion anytime from 9 am - 3 pm.

Rules

  • No perishable goods will be accepted (i.e. cheesecake, ice cream, cool whip, etc.)

  • Do not bring on plates or use decorations that you want returned to you.

  • Contestants may enter as many desserts as they like. All ages may participate.

  • All entries must be home-baked, no store-bought desserts.

  • All baked items must have the following:

    • Decorated, if applicable

    • Wrapped in plastic wrap

    • Labeled with the baker’s name and address

    • Date baked

    • List of all ingredients used
