ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Type of Position: Part-Time
Hours Per Week: 10
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary: Starting at $10,000/Year
This position will assist in executing strategies that are necessary to accomplish the mission of Action Brown County. The Associate Director will work closely with the Executive Director and Committees to ensure that measurable goals are established and achieved. The Associate Director will be a strong advocate for Action Brown County and a main face of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities *but not limited to
Leadership & Vision – The Associate Director will assist the Executive Director with executing strategies that are necessary to accomplish the mission of Action Brown County - to inspire community, celebrate Hornet spirit, and promote economic growth.
Finances – The Associate Director will develop an annual budget for all events and shop local campaigns that is reviewed by the Executive Director and approved by the Action Brown County Board prior to the start of the next fiscal year. The Associate Director will assist the Executive Director with fundraising throughout the year.
Events – Plan and evaluate events that inspire community and/or promote Brown County’s economic growth.
All events currently managed by Events Coordinator (Winter Festival, Witches Night Out, Merchant Trick or Treat)
Angel Pencil program
Teacher Appreciation Giveaway program
Shop/Live Local initiatives
Assist with The Rink as needed
Assist with the Start-Up Business Competition and Business Innovation Competition as needed
Assist with Night at the Races as needed
Create new community events as needed and desired
Communication/Marketing – Collect information from local businesses and organizations regarding upcoming events, leadership changes, business changes, etc. Ensure that information is kept up-to-date on the ABC website and assist Executive Director with social media content creation.
Business – The Associate Director will work with the Executive Director to connect with Brown County business leaders and provide resources to them as needed for business success. Facilitate BC Bucks program. Assist with business outreach, recruitment and retention.

Build and create business opportunities
Meetings – The Associate Director will attend the monthly Action Brown County Board meetings, committee meetings, or any special meetings. Serve as ABC representative at community events/meetings in the absence of the Executive Director.
Volunteer Management - Responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, coordination, and appreciation of volunteers to support the mission of ABC and its committees/events, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
